# agent.renameThread()

## `agent.renameThread()`

Renames a thread.

Notes:

* Unavailable with `readOnly: true` (throws an error).

### Signature

```

### Example

```ts theme={null}
const thread = await agent.renameThread(assistantThreadId, {
