# agent.sendMessage()

> Public low-code contract, signatures and examples for agent.sendMessage.

## `agent.sendMessage()`

Sends a new message into an existing thread.

Requires `readOnly: false`.

### Overloads

static sendMessage(
      assistantThreadId: string,
      data: AssistantMessageInput,
