# agent.watchMessage()

> Public low-code contract, signatures and examples for agent.watchMessage.

## `agent.watchMessage()`

Read-only message replay/tail in managed V8. Positive after requires its stream.policy generation.
stream.replay.miss means refetch canonical state; never repeat a command to reconnect.
Result is observation metadata, not AssistantThreadResponse. @localOnly
