# api.getDatabaseDataRow()

## `api.getDatabaseDataRow()`

Reads one matching row from a database, view, or materialized view in a single operation,
returning null when absent.
The query supports fields, filter, joins and sort but not take, skip or count.
Specify sort when choosing among multiple matching rows matters.
Example: const customer = await api.getDatabaseDataRow('customers',
\{ filter: \{ field: 'customerId', op: 'eq', value: customerId } });
