# api.updateDatabaseData()

> Public low-code contract, signatures and examples for api.updateDatabaseData.

## `api.updateDatabaseData()`

PATCHes the row identified by its primary-key oldObject. newObject contains only
properties to change; omitted or undefined properties are unchanged, while null
explicitly clears a nullable property. Use updateDatabaseDataRequest for a
structured-filter bulk PATCH.

Notes:

* Unavailable with `readOnly: true` (throws an error).

```

### Example

await api.updateDatabaseData(
