# storage.createFolder()

> Public low-code contract, signatures and examples for storage.createFolder.

## `storage.createFolder()`

Creates a folder in the default `explorer` namespace.

Notes:

* Unavailable with `readOnly: true` (throws an error).

### Overloads

```ts theme={null}
static createFolder(data: StorageFolderInput): Promise<StorageEntryView>;

static createFolder(namespace: string, data: StorageFolderInput): Promise<StorageEntryView>;
```

### Example

```ts theme={null}
const folder = await storage.createFolder({ name: 'Exports' });
