# storage.getFile()

> Public low-code contract, signatures and examples for storage.getFile.

## `storage.getFile()`

Returns metadata for a file entry. Without an explicit namespace the entry
is resolved by its globally unique id, matching the REST Storage API.

### Overloads

static getFile(
      storageEntryId: string,
      includeDeleted?: boolean,
    ): Promise<StorageEntryView>;

static getFile(
      namespace: string,
      storageEntryId: string,
      includeDeleted?: boolean,
