# util.randomString()

> Public low-code contract, signatures and examples for util.randomString.

## `util.randomString()`

Generates a random string.

Length: integer 0..65536. Alphabet: 1..65536 UTF-16 code units.

### Signature

```ts theme={null}
static randomString(length?: number, alphabet?: string): string;
```

### Example

```ts theme={null}
const token = util.randomString(24);
```
